SPARQ Systems launches lowest-cost, smart-grid-ready Q1200 quad microinverter

KINGSTON, Ontario, March 26, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — SPARQ Systems Inc. is pleased to announce the launch of their Q1200 microinverter, the only quad microinverter on the market offering low-cost power conversion and smart-grid capability at the lowest per-watt cost.

“Our Q1200 is the right product at the right cost, at the right time,” says Praveen Jain, President and CEO of SPARQ Systems. “It offers the highest power output and power density with the lowest weight in the industry.”

Compliant with UL1741SA, the Q1200 can adapt to grid conditions, absorbing or creating the reactive power needed or occurring on the grid. Patented digital controls contribute to grid stability.

“The intelligent grid is the way of the future, and we are proud to be advancing the development of smart-grid power distribution networks,” Dr. Jain says.

“The Q1200 offers smart-inverter features at the price closer to string inverters while reducing installation time and costs,” says Pankaj Jain, Director of Program Management at SPARQ.

“Using our solution, a typical 6 kW residential PV system needs five microinverters instead of 20,” he says. “By combining advanced grid capabilities and long-life components, we’re setting a new standard for cost, ease of installation, reliability and energy harvest.”

SPARQ launched the world’s first quad microinverter, the Q1000, in 2013. SPARQ’s products are currently used in the U.S., Mexico, Canada and India.

SPARQ is showcasing its Q1200 product at the California Solar Power Expo in San Diego March 27-28. Visit them at Booth 47 in the San Diego Convention Centre.
