Power conversion for every application
A common hardware platform with a high-frequency architecture, complemented by mathematical algorithms. Tailored control software lets the same hardware run a rooftop, a factory, a pump, or a tower.
The applications
Each of these describes where the platform is designed to be used and which unit suits it.
Residential rooftop
The classic case: one unit under every four modules instead of one per module or one string inverter for the whole array. Each panel is tracked on its own, so shade from a chimney or a tree does not drag the rest of the roof down with it.
- Suited by Quad2, single-phase, four independent MPPT channels
- All-AC cabling on the roof, no high-voltage DC runs
Commercial & industrial roofs, carports
Three-phase service, long cable runs, a roof or canopy nobody wants to climb twice. Native three-phase output removes the load-balancing problem you get from aggregating single-phase devices, removes the neutral on the supply side, and cuts AC-side losses.
- Suited by Quad3, native three-phase, introduced 2024
- One unit per four modules across the whole array
Telecom towers
There are 4.93 million telecom towers worldwide, roughly 700,000 to 800,000 of them in India. Towers need power around the clock, often where the grid is weak or missing, and diesel generators usually fill the gaps.
- Runs on grid, off-grid, or alongside a diesel generator, with no change of hardware.
Solar water pumps
Irrigation and village water supply, usually three-phase and far from the grid. Quad3's motor mode drives the pump directly from the panels, with no grid, no battery, and no separate pump drive. More sun, more water.
- Suited by Quad3, with motor mode
- Drives induction, BLDC or PMSM pump motors directly
EV charging
EV chargers draw three-phase power in big on-off steps, more and more often right beside the solar feeding them. Quad3 converts at the array, so there's no central inverter to size around the charger.
- Suited by Quad3
- Native three-phase output, no aggregation of single-phase units
Energy storage
The Quad with Energy Storage, launched 2025, DC-couples the battery to the microinverter. That removes the separate battery inverter an AC-coupled setup requires, improves power-flow control and conversion efficiency, and is designed to run on-grid and off-grid. Multiple battery chemistries are supported, lithium-ion and lead acid among them.
- Suited by the Quad with Energy Storage
- PV and storage in one integrated unit
Microgrids and off-grid
Where there is no utility, or where the utility cannot be relied on. The Dual Mode Quad, introduced 2018, provides power for local loads during outages and grid failure and is suitable for off-grid work. Add storage and the battery carries the site through the night.
- Suited by the Dual Mode Quad, with or without storage
- Local loads stay powered through a grid failure
Why one platform handles all seven applications
The same hardware sits under every application on this page. Here's what it does, and why it holds up in the field.
Four independent MPPT channels
One unit optimises four PV modules, each on its own tracking channel. Whatever shades one module, or points it differently, or ages it faster, stays that module's problem.
All-AC output
Conversion happens at the panels, so the array sends out AC. No high-voltage DC wiring to run across the roof.
Dual-mode operation
On-grid and off-grid from the same unit, so a roof, a tower and a microgrid can use the same hardware.
Behaviour defined in software
The control law is what changes between a grid-tied roof and a genset-backed tower. The power stage, the enclosure and the four channels underneath it do not.
Designed to match the lifespan of your panels
No electrolytic capacitors; long-life components matched to the 25-year design life of PV panels. Standard warranty is 12 years, extendable up to 25. Design life and warranty term are two different things and we do not blur them.
Quad vs other inverters
Against a string inverter, the Quad wins on shade. Against a one-per-panel microinverter, per-panel shade performance is a tie, both track every module. The Quad's advantage there is unit count and installed cost: one unit per four panels instead of four.
